Below, I have matched up everyone with a character or pair of characters from Our Mutual Friend. The basic idea here is for you to special attention to the doings of your character in each installment and be prepared to discuss them in class. Do not report just the plot action in which your character is involved, but rather the way in which that action related to larger issues and themes of the book. For example, if your character was the Gaffer, you would have told the class that he is associated with the river and decomposition through his occupation. I will keep track of whether you are prepared to talk about your character when I call on you. These reports will count for three quiz/response grades.
