Essay 4 Assignment: Persuasive Argumentation

Write a 3-4 page (at least one line of text on the 4^th page) that takes a stand on a local issue. This essay should incorporate the writing techniques that we have focussed on this term (i.e. example, definition, comparison and contrast, cause and effect, and problem/solution) and the persuasive techniques that have talked about this week (i.e. inductive and deductive reasoning, audience address, and opposing viewpoints) in order to argue your case effectively. Make sure that you pick a narrow enough issue that you can thoroughly discuss the important aspects in a very specific manner. You must use at least 2 outside sources and have a works cited page at the end of your essay.

Final Draft due: Friday, August 10^th to my mailbox by 4 p.m.
